What are your values? This week I went to @mistermindset's theater show and this question came up. For me, three stood out right away: Love. Connection. Freedom. 🤍 And I realized just how deeply those three are woven into my photography. Especially with couple boudoir. Really being together for a moment. Touching, laughing, feeling, letting go and forgetting the outside world. That look. That touch. That tension. That love between two people. To me, that's the perfect picture. Love. Connection. Freedom. That's exactly what I want you to feel in my photography. 🤍

Why is there an unknown woman hanging on your wall, actually? We hang art of a woman's body. A back. A bum. Lips. Breasts. A beautiful line of a body. Because we find it beautiful. Artistic. Feminine. But why couldn't that woman on the wall just be you? An image of yourself doesn't have to be recognizable or literal at all. By shooting up close and playing with light, fabric, skin and shapes, something abstract emerges. An image that someone else might look at and think: how beautiful… While you know: that's me. 🤍 And let's be honest… that makes a piece of art like that just a little more special, doesn't it?

To all the women who have done a boudoir shoot with me… ❤️ You know by now. How nervous you can be beforehand. How long you may have hesitated to book. How you thought: “Can I even do this?” And you also know what happens next. That it's so much more fun than you imagined. That you suddenly look at yourself differently. And that afterwards you mostly think: why did I wait so long? So to all the women who are still hesitating… Just ask a woman who has already done it. 😉 She knows exactly what I'm talking about. And maybe the only thing you'll regret later… is not booking sooner. ❤️

Sadly, I hear it quite often from women who earlier

Sadly, I hear it quite often from women who have had a boudoir shoot before: “I should have looked more closely at what I'd end up paying.” So there's one thing I want to give you if you're looking for a boudoir photographer: look beyond just the price of the shoot. Some shoots seem very affordable at first, but that price includes few or no photos. Only after the shoot comes the moment you choose your images and buy them. And that's exactly when you're often still in that lovely emotional bubble. You suddenly see yourself in a way you may never have seen yourself before. Of course you want those photos! ❤️ The final cost can end up quite a bit higher than you expected. Depending on the photographer and the number of photos, that can be hundreds and sometimes even thousands of euros. There's nothing wrong with that in itself, as long as you know it beforehand. So my advice, as a photographer and as a woman: do your homework on the photographer before you book. Look at other women's experiences. Check exactly what's included in the price. Ask what extra photos cost. Ask when you have to make your choice. And above all, see whether the photographer and her personality suit you. Because with boudoir you literally and figuratively bare a little of yourself. You want someone across from you with whom you feel safe and comfortable. A boudoir shoot can be a lovely bubble. But you don't want to step out of that bubble with a financial hangover. 😉❤️ Know what you're booking. Know what you're getting. And above all, choose someone who's transparent with you.
